About

About us: the Málaga drivers behind your private tour

Andalusia Private Tours is run by a passenger-transport company from Málaga. The cars are ours, the drivers work for us, and the guiding is left to accredited professionals.

A transport company first

Our trade is driving people. Day in, day out we take travellers from Málaga airport to their hotels and villas along the Costa del Sol, and the private tours grew naturally out of that work: guests kept asking the chauffeur who had collected them whether he could also take them to Ronda or Granada later in the week.

So the tours use what we already had, premium Mercedes vehicles and salaried drivers who know every slip road between here and Seville. There is no call centre in another country and no app handing your booking to the nearest available stranger.

Two jobs, two professionals

We are good at roads, timings and parking. We are not art historians, and we do not pretend to be. Andalusian regulations reserve the explanation of monuments to guides accredited by the Junta, and we think the rule is a sensible one: the person who walks you through the Nasrid Palaces has studied them for years.

On each tour the guide joins you at the destination for the hours shown on the tour page. On a few days the specialist is someone else, and we tell you who: the Caminito del Rey's own guided visit, the winery's staff in Ronda, a Gibraltar-licensed operator on the Rock.

What private means to us

Private means the vehicle carries your party and nobody else. It does not mean a small group of twelve, and it does not mean a minibus that calls at four hotels before leaving town. If two of you book, two of you travel.

It also means the day can flex. Stay longer at a viewpoint, cut a visit short because the children are flagging, swap the suggested lunch stop for the place a friend recommended. The driver adapts as long as the plan fits inside the tour's hours and the timed tickets.

Andalusia Private Tours: our vehicles

Straight talk about tickets and money

Our price is for the car and what goes with it: driver, fuel, motorway tolls, parking and, on guided tours, the official guide. Monument entries are separate and cost their official price. We can obtain them on your behalf without adding a cent, or you can buy them yourself.

We will also tell you things you may not want to hear. Alhambra tickets are named, cannot be resold and sell out; nobody can guarantee them, and we will not claim to. When they are gone we propose a different Granada day built around the Albaicín, the Royal Chapel and the Cathedral. And if a destination is a poor fit for your dates or your starting point, we say so before you book.

Where we work and how booking goes

Pick-ups cover the coast from Málaga city to San Pedro, plus Málaga's cruise terminals for passengers on a port call. Addresses beyond that strip are possible with a quote.

You reserve through the website or by WhatsApp without entering card details. A confirmation arrives by email, the pick-up hour is fine-tuned with you, and payment waits until the tour itself, when you settle with the driver. Plans change, so cancelling is free until 48 hours before departure.

How we work

Say it as it isIf a drive is long, tickets are scarce or a plan is too ambitious for one day, you hear it from us before booking, not at the end of the trip.
Be on timeA timed entry does not wait for anybody, so punctuality at your door is the base on which the whole schedule rests.
Each to their craftDrivers drive and accredited guides guide; mixing the two would short-change you and break the regional rules.
Your day, your tempoThe itinerary is a proposal. Within the booked hours, the pace and the pauses are decided by the people in the car.

Frequently asked questions

Are you a travel agency or a transport company?

A transport company. We hold the vehicles and employ the drivers, and we arrange the guide and any reservations your tour needs. That is different from an agency or an online platform, which sells the trip and passes the actual service to a supplier you never chose.

Do you also do airport transfers?

Yes, that is our everyday work, mainly to and from Málaga airport. If you would like the same company to handle your arrival, your departure and a tour in between, mention it in your message and we will quote the transfers separately from the tour.

Who are the guides you work with?

Independent professionals holding the official tourist-guide accreditation issued by the Junta de Andalucía, chosen for the destination and for the language you ask for. English and Spanish are always covered. French, German, Italian and others depend on who is available on your date, so request them early.

Can you organise something that is not on the website?

Often, yes. A different combination of stops, a pick-up outside the usual area or simply a car at your disposal for the day can be arranged as a tailored quote or as hourly hire. Describe the idea, the date and the number of people, and you will get a frank yes or no.
